Alchemy: the Power Behind OWS

The Occupy people have discovered a new source of power that will enable them to get back at the Right:

 Alchemy.

No, you didn't read that wrong.  Alchemy.

Tim Franzen is the spokesperson and leader of the Occupy Atlanta squatters.  This from http://www.punditpress.com/:

Tim Franzen, Occupy Atlanta
The reporter that tracked Franzen down asked him what some of his plans were for the movement. Franzen started off with a tirade against the Koch brothers. His anger has risen to the point where he has actually contracted people to 'get back' at the Koches:

"We've been having a team of alchemists and faith healers and doctors of physics working together to develop a mathematical formula to levitate the building," he stated.

Faith Healers?  Alchemists? Ummm, what is this, the 14th century?  And what the heck is a 'doctors of physics', anyway??

Once again we see that the people in this 'movement' are deranged.  Or deluded.  Or psychotic.

Or some combination of the above.

They have a very tenuous grasp on the real world.  This is why they believe in all the 'love and Unicorns' ideas of the Left -- because they have trouble grasping reality.

Down with Property Rights!!! Hey, who stole my iPhone!?!?

As the OWS three ring circus rolls on, the irony machine is working full force.

From the trust fund baby melting down on camera about how bad things are for him, to the Nazi Party endorsing the deeply anti-Semitic views of the leftist protesters, the irony is incredible.

But today's news is rich.

Apparently, someone has been stealing from the OWS darlings, and they don't like it.

It seems that thieves have been pinching iPhones, iPads, watches, and other assorted valuables.   This has caused much distress among the OWS squatters.

They have appealed to the police and the public to track down the theives that are taking their property.

And they are making this appeal while holding a sign that says "Abolish Private Property" or a similar 'redistribute the wealth' theme.

So it seems that they are all about wealth redistribution in theory, but when it happens to them they quickly lose their revolutionary fervor.

OWS: Animal Torture

The Occupy Wall St dregs have enlisted Bill Ayers, Marxist terrorist, to explain then complete nonsense that they have been spouting for the last few days as they squat on the public streets in New York.

Point 2 is:

They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless animals, and actively hide these practices.

This really confused me.  Banks are torturing animals?  But I guess they are talking about corporations in general. In this case, I am assuming the Pharma companies are the target of this rant.

It seems that the grievance here is that in the process of creating life-saving drugs, we test them on animals first in order to ensure efficacy and safety.

This would be a really compelling point if the protesters would swear off the use of any products tested on animals.  No more antibiotics.  No more ointments, pain killers, or other medicine.

I am not sure about the 'actively hiding them' accusation.  The left has been complaining about these practices for years, so the public is fully aware of how animal testing is conducted.  The drug companies do have to hide their labs, but they are not hidden from the public.  They are hidden from the left wing lunatics that will destroy the labs and set the research back many years.

Let us not forget that most of the testing is require in response to government regulations.  The very rules and regulations that are demanded by the Left in order to protect people from greedy corporations.

So here we have the spectacle of the Left demanding extensive testing to protect people, and then complaining about the testing as cruel to animals.

It seems that they value animal life more than they value human life.

OWS: Mortgages

The Marxist screed that Bill Ayers published as the manifesto of the Occupy Wall St. protests includes the following as the first indictment of the system:

"They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage."

Not being steeped in the memes of the revolution, I am not 100% sure what they are claiming here, but is sounds like they are opposed to the securitization of mortgages, and the subsequent foreclosure on people who do not make the payments on theirs.

Let's look at each of these assertions:

through an illegal foreclosure process -- It does not become an 'illegal process' just because you don't like the results.  If you fail to make the payments, they come and take the home back.  That is the deal.  The home is the collateral you used to get the loan in the first place, and the mortgage is the lien on the home that helps the lender recoup his money.  There are exactly zero examples of banks foreclosing on properties that are not in default on the loans.  The banks have enough problems with non-performing loans.  They are not foreclosing on performing loans.  This is a lie.

despite not having the original mortgage -- This is irrelevant.  The mortgage document is quite clear.  The right to collect the money due under the loan agreement is transferable.  Assignable.  Look it up.  It is in there.  So the fact that the bank that is foreclosing is different than the bank that made the loan is not relevant.  This is completely legal.

It appears then that the primary complaint here is that someone did not read the mortgage agreement before they signed it, and then failed to make the payments they agreed to make.

Morons.

The Left: Jew Hating Morons

The lunatics that are squatting on the streets of NYC have been incoherent and increasingly anti-semitic.

With their signs, chants, and Marxist trappings, they have finally inspired terrorist Bill Ayers to release the following manifesto to clear up the confusion over what the heck they are protesting:

What follows is the first official, collective statement of the protesters in Zuccotti Park:
As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.
As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power. We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.
  • They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage.
  • They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.
  • They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based on age, the color of one’s skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation.
  • They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization.
  • They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless animals, and actively hide these practices.
  • They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions.
  • They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right.
  • They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ healthcare and pay.
  • They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as people, with none of the culpability or responsibility.
  • They have spent millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance.
  • They have sold our privacy as a commodity.
  • They have used the military and police force to prevent freedom of the press.
  • They have deliberately declined to recall faulty products endangering lives in pursuit of profit.
  • They determine economic policy, despite the catastrophic failures their policies have produced and continue to produce.
  • They have donated large sums of money to politicians, who are responsible for regulating them.
  • They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil.
  • They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives or provide relief in order to protect investments that have already turned a substantial profit.
  • They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit.
  • They purposefully keep people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media.
  • They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners even when presented with serious doubts about their guilt.
  • They have perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad.
  • They have participated in the torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas.
  • They continue to create weapons of mass destruction in order to receive government contracts.*
To the people of the world, We, the New York City General Assembly occupying Wall Street in Liberty Square, urge you to assert your power.
Exercise your right to peaceably assemble; occupy public space; create a process to address the problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone.
To all communities that take action and form groups in the spirit of direct democracy, we offer support, documentation, and all of the resources at our disposal.
Join us and make your voices heard!

Frankly, I have no idea what most of this means.  "They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners even when presented with serious doubts about their guilt."  What???

The ones that I think I understand are sheer nonsense: "They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization"  Poisoned the food supply????  We have more and better food than any other place or time in history.  What the heck are they talking about?

Several of them are non sequitors.  "They have donated large sums of money to politicians, who are responsible for regulating them" is not only poor grammar, but has no point. The money that they have donated is within the legal limits, and it is not the companies fault that politicians have overstepped their constitutional authority to regulate every aspect of American life.

While most of the signs mention Jews as the root of all evil, here the culprits are called "they" without any clear statement of who or what is being discussed.

If this is the best that the Left has to offer, then not only are the morally bankrupt, but they are scraping the bottom of the intellectual barrel as well. .
